Della Ding, a Taiwan-based China Mandopop singer.
Della left her hometown at the age of 18 to pursue her musical dream and started singing in pubs across China. During that period, she stayed in hostels with broken windows enduring the cold winter wind, and at times got into trouble as her singing was too loud that it affected patrons’ conversations. All these setbacks did not deter her from seeking her dream, instead they motivated her to work harder towards success. Finally, her perseverance and talent landed her with a contract with Rock Records and began her singing career in the Mandopop scene. But things didn’t start well for her as the label was undergoing restructuring and many other factors resulted in a delayed release of her debut album. After 4 years, Della joined B’IN Music and finally released her first album “Run Away From Home”.
Della’s impressive vocal range and amazing reinterpretation of hit song “I am a Little Bird” in a Taiwan variety show surprised the crowd and became an overnight internet sensation. Her fame exploded after singing the theme song “I Love Him” for Taiwanese drama “Autumn Concerto”. Her powerful vocal and wonderful interpretation earns her the title of “Queen of Drama Theme Songs’ with over thirty theme songs under her belt. Alan Tam, fondly known as Principal Tam, has also personally endorsed Della Ding as one of the singers he admires and wishes to collaborate with in his brand new Chinese album, “Admire”. Della’s emotional rendition of her love ballads touches the hearts of many, with famed title “Shou Zhang Xin” breaking 10 million views!
